  1. I have an mp3 music file and I would like to add an image to this song without converting. Is that possibe? Windows movie maker converts it and the sound is poor.

What sort of image? A video or a still photo? You shouldn't need to convert the audio if it is compliant with your video, just mux it with the video. I don't know about WMM, but Virtualdub, AVIDemux and others can do that easily with AVI type video files. Just use direct stream copy in VD for both video and audio. If the video is in WMV format, don't know if that's compatible with MP3.

You could try this: Open the photo in VirtualDub. (Usually works with JPEGs and BMPs) Select the first frame with the mark in/mark out icons, copy and paste. Now you should have two frames. Select these, copy and paste, four frames, repeat, 8 frames, 16, 32, 64 and so on. It goes fairly fast when you get several hundred frames. Figure 30 frames per second and you should come close, so about 1800 frames per minute. Once you have the same length as your audio, add the audio. Save the audio in 'Direct stream copy'. (No re-encoding) Save the video out as a Xvid or similar, full processing.

This usually works. You might have to play around with the controls a little if you're not familiar with VD. Make sure the video framesize is divisible by two, or better, 16, vertical and horizontal, or the encoder may give you a error. You can use the 'Null transform' filter to crop it if needed, or do it in Paint or similar beforehand.

Probably not the most efficient way, but I have done it several times.
