hi
just want to verify some points about progressive/interlaced video. when i preview the pal dvd in dvd2avi, it says its interlaced, but in fact is progressive when studying the picture closer.
so does that mean in tmpgenc, i put the source as progressive and output as non-interlaced?
also, for other pal rippers out there, do u use field order A or B? i tried them both and they seem to be similar
thanks

Most PAL DVD are progressive although DVD2AVI says interlaced. Preview the vob in dvd2avi or/and TMPG and watch out for interlace artifacts. If you can not find any, then the source is progressive, no matter what the dvd2avi statistic window says. Field order does only matter if the source is interlaced.
