You can now rent Blu-ray discs from Redbox for a $1.50

(Looks like the titles are limited .. none in my favorite Redbox)
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays!

Saw something about this a month or so ago that they were going to be doing this. Looked online yesterday and found out it's only for a few cities now.
In my geo. area the website doesn't even mention them.

That's good, I'll have to take a look. But I also suspect I won't find much of anything. Older movies newly released on Blu-Ray are what I'm most interested in.

Maybe they should have a separate Blue Box

Blue box - I like that
That is a good deal.
However I am signed on with Netflix now. WIder selection I imagine. Plus I LOVE netflix streaming on my xbox 360. I won't use my ps3 for netflix until they get the discless update later this fall. I don't know if I'll use the ps3 even then. The 360 has a slicker interface than the ps3. THe ps3 netflix interface is just blah.
All I need is 5.1 streaming and I'll be with netflix forever! Plus having streaming AND disc delivery is a great combination. That way whatever you can't stream you can still check out with the disc version. Or get the disc for movies you really want 5.1 for and stream the others like older drama/epic flix that didn't have a surround track to begin with.Donatello - The Shredder? Actually, there is a blue Redbox. It is in the Walmart in Morrisville, NC. I talked to Redbox customre service about why it was blue, and not red, and they said that that Walmart wanted it blue to fit in with their store.

In very limited areas, none in CT as far as I can see.

Yeah, they could put the Blue Boxes in Whole Foods, Macy's and premium shopping malls.
Not in Apple stores because Steve Jobs doesn't like Blu-Ray.Recommends: Kiva.org - Loans that change lives.

Great. More discs that can't be returned because the machine is full or broken.

Between my last post a few days ago and this morning, Redbox now includes BRs on its website and also has them at 4 places in my small town. Only half dozen titles, but they do have them.
