    Not sure where this post should go; thoughts welcome!

    When I play DVDs on my Panasonic DVD F84, I often find that only half the subtitles are displayed. When I play the disks from my computer, all of the subtitles display. Any ideas what might be going on?

    Half in what way? Only the top line of two lines is diplayed (and it's very close to the bottom of the screen)? Start and end of long lines is off the edges of the screen? You get all the subtitles for the first half of the movie then no subtitles? You see only every other subtitle? The left half of every subtitle shows and the right half is missing?

    Is this happening with commercially produced discs or home-made discs?

    We're only getting every other subtitle on commercially produced disks.

    I'd say your DVD player is the problem, try another player.
