    Downloaded all necessary components: mplayer, mencoder and mpeg2enc and the installation is always unsuccessful.
    Please help. My copy of ffmpeg is even registered and I never had any problem installing it in older Mac operational systems.

    Thanks for your help but I did solve the problem. ffmpeg wanted an admin password which I don't have, so I created one, authorized the app, filled in the registration serial and after that I erased this temporary password.
    Now it's working OK.
