  1. Hi everyone,

I need to upgrade my software, and I have less than a week to get something new.

The software I need has to be able to edit down to these configurations.

Can anyone help as to what I should buy??

    Many thanks

    Platform ?
    Budget ?
    Capabilities ?

Hell, with that description, you can use mpeg-streamclip, but I suspect you want something more than that. Details are what's missing from your post. You have given us nothing at all to go with. Start by describing what sort of editing you are doing, what features you need in your editing software, and what platform (Windows/Mac/Linux) you are working with. New hardware or old ?

  3. Thanks for your reply.

    Budget? Anything goes!

I'm using Windows Vista (32), can't tell you the exact spec of my PC (I'm at work at the moment) but it's new and fast (if that helps?)

I'm uploading short videos to an ftp site for work. Fancy effects etc aren't essential, the compression is though.

    Does that help?

  4. As guns1inger has already suggested - mpegstreamclip will do what you need. Not expensive either (free!)
