  1. Another forum user, REiREi, helped me isolate the audio sync
problem on my machine, and to make a long story short,
there's a patch available from Ulead. At least for 4.0 users.

    http://www.ulead.com/tech/vs/vs_ftp02.htm

It seems to have solved the playback problems on my machine.
Be sure to read the instructions. You need to install the 4.01 Update
Patch first, and then install the 4.01p Async Patch afterwards.

Good luck, and thanks again, REiREi.

  2. Holy, it does seem that ULEAD finally realise the problem with the Ligos Codec.

hey Juke, i saw on another thread that ULEAD's newer products don't use the problem codec anymore (but i think they still have some issues to iron out).

I personally don;t use ULEAD or Ligos anymore...

Just wonder when would Ligos (or Baldrick here - files section, hint hint) realise that the mpeg2 codec/splitter are causing all these sync problems to every1....

I need to thank ppl at Rage3D, it was some1 over there that pointed/tested this issue out.

  3. The funny thing was...the only reason I found the patch is because my whole system
went to hell after uninstalling Ulead VS. No more MPEG2 playback, missing audio
codecs that I _KNOW_ VS should not have uninstalled ...

So I ended up reinstalling it, but then went looking for the patch.

WMP acts pretty funny when you "goto", though. Long pause while it re-syncs,
but at least it works now.
