    I have one video clip (only moving letters and numbers) in AVI file but in 4:3.Now I want to stretch the clip to fit 16:9 but without loozing upper and lower margins (only stretch in horizontal directions in widescreen project inside Vegas).How to do this?

    do it in the render stage. choose the 16x9 option and check the box stretch video to fill frame(do not letterbox).
