Please advice if anybody knows software capable to convert movie files (mpeg, avi) into "playing reverse/ backwards".
I have transferred very old 8mm celluloid films into digital format, however due to corrupted perforation, only way to transfer them was to play them "reverse".

premier can do it.you have to go check in the video fx panel look in the obsolete fx it's called backward (video)
i'm guessing there's another way to go about it or else it wouldnt be in the obsolete section but it seems to work fine(i tried) -
There is a way which is not obsolete. You right click on the clip in the timeline and select Speed... All you have to do is enter a negative number. -100 for example if you want it at normal speed but playing backwards.
