    Just recently installed XPPro on my comp and for the first time tonight tried to use smart ripper to rip a movie. When I try to run smart ripper, i get this error:

    ASPI LAYER MISSING! A Valid ASPI Layer has not been detected on this computer!!! Authentication will not be possiable. Please install an aspi layer.

    How can I get this taken care of and get on with ripping? thx

    It's simple, just install the aspi layer. Windows XP doesn't come with an aspi layer. I will e-mail you the files you need. Install the aspi layer, then run aspi check to make sure it is installed properly. Restart your computer and start ripping.
