  1. Hey guys,
I'll say that I did this successfully with MKVTools, converting a Blu-ray rip from MKV/FAAC to AVI (either mp3 or aac, i can't remember). Of course I ended up with the demuxed files (is that the word?) and would like to either remux those or simply convert to another container that can be played on the LG. Let me first say, it was not the video format that the LG couldn't play, it was the FAAC audio format.

My goal is to convert the audio only, leaving the video at the best quality, into a playable format for the TV via a USB connected hard drive. I've got QT Pro, MKVTools, VLC and Handbrake. I've only had success with MKVTools, but I'd like to have a more elegant solution of ending up with a single container instead of separate files.

What's the best way to do what I'm asking? I'm also looking for easiest. If MKVTools is it, then so be it, but just want to make sure I'm not missing something. Thanks!

    Jonathan
