Audio help needed please

Hey everyone,
I am currently having a problem with the audio on my computer and I hope this is the correct sub-forum to use.

The issue is that when the balance between the left and right speaker is centered there is an echo type effect, which means to hear audio properly I need to put the sound either more towards the left or right speaker. Its been like this for a while but it is starting to bug me now as some songs don't sound right, as some parts (say guitar etc.) in some songs might only go through one side and if the sound is centered then I am not getting the sound as its supposed to be.

Any help with this issue would be appreciated

Thread moved to computer forum,sounds like your center speaker isnt working or you got a 5.1 system thats set to 2.0 stereo,check in the control panel/audio and test the configuration to see if all the speakers are working.
