  1. Hello,
I have a mpg movie that I made with a Mavica camera.
I used TMPGEnc to convert it to a VCD. (I think. I used their wizard)
    I then burned it to a CD-R. I have a Pioner DV343 DVD player.
When I put the CD-R in the DVD player nothing happens.
I know that it will play VCD's. All the VCD's that I have played,
have the mpgsav (or something like that file and and inside the file
is .dat. This my DVD player will play. Is there a way to get
TMPGEnc to convert where there is an extension of .dat
Or what am I doing wrong? I have already wasted two CD-R's
    trying it. Thanks, Bill

  2. So you got a mpg video from your camera and used TPMG to convert it to the VCD standard. Then you burned it to a cd-r. When you burned it to the cd-r how did you do it? I think thats your problem. Check the "How to" section under "Author." 8)
