I'm sick of using my old PC computer. I really want to replace my Mac motherboard. It burned out I think, but don't know where I can find a tutorial to fix it. Does anyone have a good site to check out?

doesn't usually work out, trying to fix a laptop is much more difficult than a desktop. even getting some of them apart without damage is a challenge. not to mention almost everything inside is proprietary and often unigue to a single model. a motherboard at retail can cost as much as a complete new unit.

You think it burned out...you are not sure....and you want to tear apart a laptop?
Anyone wanna take any bets that another first-time-poster shows up with a handy dandy link for him?

GenConFan: Chatroom link removed. This is a video site, not a chat room.

Sorry, hech54, I needed to remove the link in your quote also.

you'll have better luck, if you are real and sincere, taking it to your local
Apple Store for repair, or contacting a local Sales and Service shop
that specializes in repairing Apple products.

finding manuals online is one thing; but tearing apart an expensive laptop,
when your not certified to buy the repair parts, will only compound the problem.

If your in my neck of the woods, maybe I'll see you....
