AVI watchable?

1) is AVI playable in DVd player? because i just download a movie with 729 MB on it.

2)if not (1st question), what do i need to do, i have try to "TMPGEnc-2.53.35.130" To Convert AVI to MPEG 1-2, but it too slow, it only get to 10% in 45 minute.

Please help.


P.S. i want to watch it on a DVD player, not window media player

you have the right idea . you need to convert the avi to vcd with tmpge. having it take awhile is something that comes with encoding. it takes me usally 4-5 hours to convert a movie with p4 1.3, 128ram.
also try making a wav file of the audio with virtual dub and things should speed up.

do u have the step in making a wav file of the audio with virtual dub?

1) go to file and open movie.

2) go to audio and select full processing mode.

3) go back to file and click save wav.

when done use the wav file as the audio source in tmpge.
