I followed the procedure posted here and it worked ok.
However, I messed when I entered the region I wanted and pressed "7" instead of "9".
    How can I fix it?
    Thanks

I tried but there is no unlocking code for region 7. The ones informed in the procedure cover from 1 to 6.

Sometimes when you make a mistake in entering a code, there is no way to fix it.

  6. You can always asked the guy that had the codes. he's the one that came up with those maybe he'll know. Region 7 doesn't exist so isn't it region free too??

By the way, anybody here bought this unit in region 1 player??? did you successfully unlock it? cause i've been trying since i got it yesterday and i don't know what i'm doing wrong. i saw other post but people had regopn 2 or 4 unit... so i was just wondering. let me know.

I had similar issues but from region code 3 to 5. Keep using the sequence for your region's DVD player, change it to that original region, and from there change it to 9.

In my case: Original Region Code (RC) 3. Used remote control sequence for RC 3. It then became RC 5 for some reason. I kept using RC 3 sequence to try and change it to 9, but this did not work at all. So I then used the RC 3 sequence, it still showed RC 5 and changed it back to 3, the original setting. Then I used the RC 3 sequence again and could change it to 9.

Thus in your case it might help to keep using the sequence for your original region, let's say region 4, change the setting from region 7 back to region 4, and then again use the region 4 sequence to change it to 9. Hope this helps.
