Hey buddy, mind you I can't get this to work fully due to I can't even get the dvds to unrar on the mac because they are too big and I get errors using the outdated macrar. But assuming you allready have a .gi file and have successfully unrared it, this is what I would try:
go here--- http://www.megagames.com/ps2/ps2_utils_disk.shtml
and get---GI2M1 converts an .GI (PrimoDVD) DVD-Image into an MODE1/2048 (ISO) Image
you will have to run the .gi conversion program in vpc
you may also have to convert the image to a mac standard 2056 iso using--http://cdirip.freeyellow.com/iso2mac.zip or the mac version of the same software http://cdirip.freeyellow.com/iso2mac.sit
This should work I don't see why it wouldn't, but you will know right away depending if when the image is placed on toast if you recieve an error or not. If the image is accepted like normal then you are set, if it brings up a box, then it won't work. Hope this helps. Maybe I'll try it myself once I figure out the unrar thing.
Note to admins the above sites contain no illegal material to my knowledge only tools and utilities.
