I have an AVI file that I can play just fine on my Mac with VLC, but when I burn it to DVD (and Toast converts it from PAL to NTSC), it doesn't play the sound on my PS3. I don't know if it's the audio encoding to begin with or if it has anything to do with the PAL-NTSC conversion. Here are the specs of the file from VideoSpec:

Apparently my previous response was in one of your other threads.

When you burn the avi with Toast, are you burning it as data, or converting it to DVD ?

If you convert it to DVD, does the DVD play correctly in your Mac ?

We need to see the specs for the converted file, as that is the file that does not play.

You know, instead of just burning it as DVD in Toast, I used Handbrake and converted it to mp4 and then burned and it worked fine. I'm not sure the problem, but something about the audio codec my PS3 didn't like. All working good now, thanks guys
