    I cut the section of the AVI that I want using AviDemux. I tried saving it but it didn't save correctly. The video and audio are both on copy, and the output format is AVI like the original. I was just taking a few minutes off the beginning of the video. Am I saving it incorrectly?

    Are you adding the .AVI at the end of the output file name?

    Make sure when saving you include the .avi extension..It doesn't include it by default..

    Oh, no I didn't even think about adding the .avi extension to the end. Thanks, it should work now.

    I plan on deleting the original AVI file after I edit. Should I stick with AviDemux or use something like VirtualDub? Or does it really matter.
