It depends on what you mean by blockyness. Blocks can come from corruption or from encoding with too low bitrate. The latter is common for videos on youtube and similar sites. There isn't really a whole lot you can do to fix them. You can try the deblock filter and see what kind of results you get.

Put this in the Virtualdub plugins folder.

Here is a site with all the Virtualdub filters...

    Hi!
I am back, have this problem.
When I try to convert ,by replacing the audio, with the reduction of the blockyness, all I get is a huge size on the output file, about 12 GB big. how can I control the size of the output?
My original file size of the video=314 MB(an FLV file) and the Audio=142 MB(an AC3 file).
What can I do to get a decent size after the conversion.

Thanks, for all your support I have completed my first project using VirtualDub. All of it was possible for you.
Now I'd like to learn 'Editing' using VirtualDub. In order to do so will I have to Post a 'how to' question on the editing thread or will I be looked after here too.
Thou, I am uncertain nevertheless I am taking my chances here- My question is,
How can I edit out two or more clips from a video at a time by using VirtualDub? Where the original video gets saved without the edited parts, as one file. Can I or can't I do it. If I can, then how?

    thanks
