I have a camera (canon s90) that produces .MOV video clips. I want to trim the video with minimum or no loss of quality, then upload to youtube.

What is the least expensive editor that does cut / trim editing on quicktime file? Quicktime player pro for $30 might work, anything else?

I already have premiere pro, but editing anything in premiere would re-encode the video which means it won't be lossless.

I do have a mac mini, but I rarely use it, so I prefer the solution be windows based (vista, win7).

  2. What kind of video & audio? mov is just a wrapper / container. Use mediainfo if you don't know

mpegstreamclip + quicktime alternative should work

another option: avidemux can handle most types of audio & video , but you can only cut on keyframes, and the container will be changed to mp4. Leave video & audio set to "copy"
