  1. I have a Windows XP computer with 2ghz and 80 gig hard drive and a CDR Drive and a DVD drive and all I want to do is copy some of my DVD's over to VCD. What is the easyest program to use to do this and I am a newbie so I need it to be real simple. I tried Dup-dvd but I cant get it work? All I get is "Image" on the Source Drive? Can anyone help Me?

    Thanks

A lot of people here started off with Sefy's classic newbie guide.

It may look complicated at first but you'll soon get the hang of it.

LOL.. Your guides are only as complicated as they need to be.

I'm sure that I'm not the only one here who used your guides as a first foray into the world of DVD, VCD and digital video.. even though it was over 18 months ago now!

  10. hi baker i think i will try your guide tonight i have the panasonic plug in ill just download dvdx soon . The movies i will be ripping are dvd silvers which are ntsc format , what settings should i enter differently to that on your guide ?
Is the settings on your guide about the best quality picture you can get ? Is it worth using the filters ?
The Quantizer Matrix - should i set this to amimation for cartoons like A Bugs Life ?
Any tips would be greatly appreciated .

sorry for jumpin on this post .

  12. Tried to use "Burn DVD to VCD/SVCD/Avi(DivX) in CD-R/RW", but there is password required when I tried to unzip the file. Do we have to purchase a password?
