    Hello.

I just got an HD PVR, and thanks to this and this site figured out how to set it up with GraphEdit to stream it to a flash server.

    So far so good: http://gyazo.com/9ec74068e08cf147d23aa53d3ec60067.png

Here's my problem. I want to add audio from my microphone over the game sound as well. So to have two audio sources going on at the same time on the final output. With normal capture card I achieve this by enabling both line-in and microphone on my audio card input and stream with that. Anyway, I figured I could connect my Realtek HD Audio Input to the second pin of the NWRenderer. (Input1)

Here's what I got so far.

I can't connect the XForm Out to Input1. Not compatible. Guess I need some other filters in between. Or maybe I need to take the H264 out to something and then my own audio to the same thing and output that to the NWRenderer Input0.
Is what I want to do possible? What am I missing? Please help!

    Thanks.

  2. I think you'll have to decompress the audio from the HD PVR, mix the two sources while uncompressed, then recompress (or not).

Sounds good.. any suggestions for filters which will allow me to mix the two together? I cannot seem to find any.

EDIT: I think I'm on to something here..

All I need is a filter to mux the video and audio back together I think, as I can't connect the audio directly.

  4. Doesn't the Elcard NW Renderer accept audio and video input? Or do you have to mux them first? Maybe you can use AviMux? Does arcsoft have a muxer?

Yeah I think I have to mux them first. It gives me an error when trying to just connect it to Input1. The only muxers I find wants to output to a file however.
I did some testing just now outputting to DirectSound and Video Renderer / TS Dump, also added another ArcSoft Audio Decoder after the Realtek HD Audio Input.

Mixer doesn't seem to work quite as expected. I only hear audio from the one connected at Pri In. Also, if I connect the pin coming from my sound card to Pri In there's only audio for about one second. Then there's silence. Maybe because the two are of different frequency? One is 44.1 kHz and the other 48 kHz.

  6. I bet the audio mixer needs both channels to have the same properties.

Still could need some help with this, or at least confirmation if it's at all possible to mix two audio sources together like this, mux audio and video back together and output to NWRenderer. Thanks.

    Bump.

Sort of related to the same problem. (hdpvr+graphedit+streaming)
I'm now trying to do livestreams of video games with the HDPVR. So I do crossbar->capture->encoder->nwrenderer to wowza and it works. Problem is, certain situations in a game causes the stream to die out completely. On the user side the video will go black when this occurs.
I will need to go into graphedit, click stop, and then click play again and the video will come back.

I tested just now live streaming of the game Final Fantasy IV on the PSP. (component)
Game is fine on the overworld, battle starts, battle ends, back to overworld. No problems yet. But as I enter a village or a cave the stream will die and must be restarted.
I don't know if the game is internally changing the video mode for a few frames or something, I really have no idea of how that stuff works. But well the stream dies when changing screens like that. It happens in all games I've tried. Xbox 360. Going from dashboard to a game. Going from an in-game menu to actual gameplay.. intro video to main menu of a game. Stuff like that.

I'm not sure how many people here have actually tried to do livestreams with this setup but well I felt I had to at least ask around if anyone else has experienced the same problem.
