I recently encoded some video clips in various formats that are on my computer, hoping to be able to play them on my DVD player. I used a program called DVD Flick and then burned a DVD using Image burn. The resuting DVD will play on my computer, but not on my Magnavox2160MW9A player recorder nor on my Panasonic DMR EZ48V. It will however play on a borrowed Coby 288 DVD player (which has no recorder nor TV tuner). I don't understand why this should be. Is there anything I can do to allow the DVD To play on either the Magnavox or the Panasonic or both?
    Thanks

I would guess that you might not have waited for the process to complete and it failed to finalize.
Burn it again and you might try Nero, which will finalize automatically.

    Are they +R's or - R's ?

ALso if they are +R's is the booktype being set to DVD-ROM ?

My panny standalone recorder will only play -R's unless i change the booktype on my +R's to dvd-rom.
Which i always flash my burners firmware to do it automatically.

You would have to check them with dvdinfo or imgburn to see who actually makes Panasonic brand dvdr's but i would suspect they are probably cheap media.

Are ANY of you going to bother to ask the OP where these "video clips" came from? (IE they might be PAL....or they might be a mix of PAL and NTSC).
    HELLO??!!??
