    Hi,
I'm trying to merge together raw WMA Pro audio streams with some WMV video streams with mkvmerge. The program automatically detects the format of the WMV stream ok, but I'm not sure if mkvmerge even supports it.

What is the best way to get mkvmerge to accept it?
Ideally I'd like the final mkv to have the same audio in WMA Pro codec, but encoding is ok if its the only way to get it to work.

    Thanks.

  2. mkvmerge doesn't support it

but you could use haali directshow muxer (gdsmux)

why are you doing this? software shouldn't have problems playing it, but hardware chips might (like wdtv, popcornhour)

Apologies for my ignorance, but I am not aware of any application capable of muxing
"containerless" WMA into ASF, not to mention into Matroska...

BUT, if by "raw" WMA streams, you mean simply "proper .WMA files",
the older versions of Gabest's MatroskaMuxer can create intermediate .MKAs which
will/should be happily accepted by MKVmerge.
