captured an analog movie from vcr. using a pinnacle dv500 card and adobe premeir 6 got the capture ok about19gigs is it compessible to a 700 meg cd i have not been able to get it under 923 meg any ideas thanks

Of course it is compressible to a 700MB CD... as to if you will find the quality acceptable is another story.
Use the bitrate calculator under the TOOLS section on this site to find the bitrates you need to do the reencode. Any bitrate different to the standard (1150kbps for VCD, ~2600kbps max for SVCD) will result in an unstandard CD which may or may not play in your player.
