I have a TS file recorded with WinTV. I am trying to convert it to an MPEG file so that I can open it in Windows Movie Maker. I have tried both ProjectX and HDTVtoMPEG2. They give me an MPEG, but it always seem to have a problem with WMM. I can open both the TS and MPEG in Windows Media Player and the TS always plays fine and most of the time the MPEG works fine fine, the movie is the correct length, there is audio and the audio matches what the people are saying. Whenever I open it in WMM, the movie becomes like 15 hours long (when it is only 3 hours and 57 seconds) and the audio doesn't match (or is totally silent).

How can I get my TS file so I can edit it in WMM?

Suggest you use MediaInfo and post the log of the converted MPEG file - would provide useful info in finding a solution

I've taken the (mpeg2) output from HDTV2MPEG2 and loaded in into MPEG Streamclip, simply saved it as MPEG then it would load into WMM.
