Hi guys,
I've read through a few threads here and a lot of the good ones go way back.
I just got EZcap usb 2.0 and the capture software that came with it was ArcSoft Showbiz dvd 2. The results are passable (The max is mpg2 and a bitrate of 5,000 Kbps) I just want to make some backups of random stuff from VHS.
What other software do you guys recommend, free (preferably) or paid that 'might' do a better job at capturing with EZcap?
Thanks for any info.

Power Director 8 - Very good software with 25.000 max Btr. (paid)
Virtualdub - Free software, most usable with UT video codec. (Best quality)
Look here (My capture settings for some programs with easycap: http://forum.outerspace.terra.com.br/showpost.php?p=6905080&postcount=2

Believe me, with the 5000BTR results are not acceptable.
EZcap or Easycap will have excellent image if: Capture MPG2-25,000BTR and use of filters in Virtualdub. -
sorry to bump this thread, but could someone please upload some sample video captured with easycap?
i have a lot of football games on VHS (PAL) and want to make a backup on my PC.
i considered buying easycap but i would like to ensure it can produce the quality i need. -
