    AVG ANTI-VIRUS FREE EDITION http://free.avg.com
    VIRUS DB: 271.1.1/2992
    AVG VERSION: 9.0.830
    IS REPORTING "DVDFab7070_avangate-675" & "DVDFab7079Beta_avangate-675"
    FILE: MSVCR90.DLL :
    :IS INFECTED WITH VIRUS: WIN32/DG.CAFF82037E

Is any other antivirus software reporting this?

If all other antivirus software is showing this file clean I can add it to my ignore list!

    MJA:

What antivirus software do you personally use?

If it was not that in many tests AVG beats or ties the major antivirus companies like McAfee and Norton when it comes to detecting viruses and has a much lower memory/system headroom than other programs, as long as I get a few more replies from others I will add it to my ignore listing, as I have been using AVG for over 7 years and this is the first time I have ever had a false postive! And AVG has saved my system many times in the past!!

I use avast. Always been happy with it.

Whenever you have a file that you are wondering about a false positive just upload it to www.virustotal.com
It will scan it with about 40 different antivirus engines including avg, avast, avira, and the paywares like norton, mcaffee , etc....
You can usually tell from the results of a virustotal scan when something is a false positive. If only avg reports it as a positive while the other 39 don't then you know it's a false positive.

  9. After the updates of AVG all the errors have stopped here too. Was really annoying as after trying to fix the problem my Nero 9 started to burn a DVD in an hour....very frustrating.

After a clean up of temp files and a reinstall of DVDFab 7.0.7.0 all is well
