:oops: I'm a newbie so be gentle if this is a stoopid question.
I'm trying to grab VHS for use as VCD files, the hardware I have is a Matrox RT2500 and using Premiere that came with it seems a long-winded way of doing it. So far though, all the apps I've downloaded to try out won't recognise the composite source of the RT2500.
Any suggestions?

File->Capture->Movie Capture->Edit(Video Setting)->click on Video Format and choose composite/S-video/1394

Thanks for that but what I'm really looking for is an alternative to Premiere that will capture from the RT2500.

Sorry for misinterpreting your question. I guess I'm a newbie too. I'm looking for the same thing. A bit sick to have AVI files captured that be opened by Premiere with Matrox plugin. Maybe we should request a SDK from Matrox and write the software ourselves...

What settings etc.. are you using at the moment? You're probly more advanced than I am!? I'm experimenting but I seem to be grabbing at a rate of 1Mb/sec which can't be right?!!

Hey,
Why do not you visit Matrox's forum? I think they are talking about the same problem - that RT2500 does not have a driver to do so.
