I have burned a couple of VCDs using Ulead DVDmoviefactory but I am unable to play them in ATI mutimedia 7.1 VCD player I get the message "do not support 2.0 format"

The ATI VCD Player doesn't play 2.0 standard VCD's, so is basically useless! Get one of the other software players or use media player and open the .dat file with that.

I mostly do DivX, but I've played a couple of VideoCD 2.0 disks usins Windows Media Player.

The aTi VCD player cannot play these, but the aTi file player in the same package can. Just open the DAT (I'm assuming it's a DAT file?) file with the File Player.
