  1. Hi every body! I have some .ts, .tp file format in HD 1080i (1920x1080) but they have black border at left and right of screen like this:

I want to crop black borders and keep original quality in HD (1440x1080) and audio original too. Can you tell me what software to do this work. Thank you very much!

Audio quality is a no-brainer - don't re-encode it and it won't change. Most encoders will let you keep the original audio.

Cropping is a problem - you can't crop off the borders, then re-encode to the same resolution. You have changed the resolution by cropping the video. So you either have to put the borders back, stretch (and distort) the video, or encode at the new (cropped) resolution. HD (1440x1080) is anamorphic 16:9. If you crop your video and encode it as HD 1440 x 1080 is will play back horizontally stretched (distorted).

  3. Oh I see. It's mean I can encode my HD (1920x1080) video at the new resolution HD (1440x1080). I try it with Sony Vegas but the output file is no audio. Thanks for your idea!
