    Hi

I currently live stream 720p video game console footage from my Black Magic Intensity using VH Multicam for shows I do on the net. My shows are usually 2 to 3 hours long.

I'd like to start recording some of this footage locally in good quality. I tried using VH Capture to record the footage but run into some issues.

    - uncompressed footage records great, but produces 3 gig files every 30 seconds.
    - selecting other codecs like divx oddly only record 1 second of footage before it stops writing to a file. codecs like xvid just freeze up.

Is there another piece of software or codec I should be using to record video?

I am running windows xp 32 bit with a 2.6 ghz i7 cpu, I have a 1TB drive dedicated for video footage.

    Thanks!

Actually, I just tried recording it as an mov with a high bitrate and it seems to be performing pretty well with a reasonable file size.

I'd still love to hear any suggestions, thanks!

Try AVS4YOU record software or NERO Vision (version included on Nero 10).

I use Avermedia HD DVR, work flawless recordings.
