I think,therefore i am a hamster.
-
I also visit two that aren't on the list fairly often, avsforum.com and thegreenbutton.com.
-
This is it for video mostly. Hardly any others, can't remember em.
Game sites yes. G4tv.com and ign.comDonatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw? -
i visit videohelp and doom9 almost everyday
I love it when a plan comes together! -
Doom9, MyCE, TVPreservation.com, xpmediacentre.com.au, AVS forum, Digital Digest, and a few others less frequently.
-
Depends on subject matter. Some of my related interests for forums

2. TV broadcast
3. Digital cinema
4. Camcorders and digital cameras
5. PC and Mac computers (sometimes Linux)
Each have forum support.Recommends: Kiva.org - Loans that change lives.

I don't understand the question. There are no other video related forums besides videohelp.com.

Was it just a glitch when I last visited, or has the Main Page (News, software updates, commentary) of Doom9 not been updated since early January ? The site has had a glitch like that at times in the past, but the proprietor also has a history of disappearing for long periods of time.
AfterDawn took a format and usability nosedive when they switched site design -- and probably the software it runs on -- a while back. It has a lot of redundancy now, with the same items getting repeated several times as you scroll down, and looks pretty bad vs. the way it was originally. Much worse than anything anyone may have complained about here in the switch to vBulletin. When in Las Vegas, don't miss the Pinball Hall of Fame Museum http://www.pinballmuseum.org/ -- with over 150 tables from 6+ decades of this quintessentially American art form. -
"Regularly": forum.videohelp.com only.
"Randomly": whenever Google leads me to elsewhere.
As for Doom9 especifically: yes, except for the forum itself,
everything in it has become quite outdated and "abandoned".
And "Mr. Doom9" just "owns" the site, he is not an administrator anymore. -
I check doom9 probably once a week but hardly ever post there. This is about the only place I post regularly.
Donadagohvi (Cherokee for "Until we meet again") -
I'm at MyCE every day, and I check the DVDRebuilder/BD-Rebuilder forum at doom9 quite often, but rarely post there. AVSForum is useful when looking for a/v equipment.

For various and "non-simple" reasons, Doom10 should still be regarded as,
let's say, a wannabe-forum :-\
<Dark Shikari>
The problem is that moderators are allowed to use their powers to intervene in issues related to their own personal activities. This means that a moderator can use their moderator powers to promote their commercial products, as was done here. As long as this isn't stopped, this problem will occur again and again: moderators should simply not be able to use their moderator powers in their own personal disputes.
As there doesn't seem to be any hope of this problem being resolved, I am not returning to Doom9. If you want me back, you will have to fix your forum. My suggestion is to start by swapping around the forum moderators so that they no longer moderate forums in which they have a vested commercial interest. But feel free to try some other method if you think it'll be easier or work better.
If at any point you believe you have resolved this issue or have a proposal for solving it, and would like me to return, you can email me, poke me on IRC, PM me at doom10, or whatever.
P.S. I don't want to run doom10. I'd rather doom9 be fixed. Also, stop deleting my posts.

And then about a dozen others less often.
I have about 60 forums saved in my bookmarks that I visit at least once per month.
All of them are related to photo, video, marketing or cartoons/toys.Want my help? Ask here! (not via PM!)

Daily I visit videohelp (for more than 11 years now...)
Once in a while I visit doom9. But I have years to post there.
AVSforum yes, occassionally.
shspvr forum is a great place to anything hauppauge related, so I end up there once in a while.
I used to read kwag's KVCD forum once!I stopped ofter some attacks I got some years ago, 'cause I used to be a moderator here on videohelp and they didn't like my opinions posting there about some of their ideas.
Occasionally I visit the forums of Deemon's VideoEnhancer, Virtualdub, Avidemux and neatvideo. Rarelly I go to Lordsmurf's site and forum to get informed about specific issues I may have to deal with..
I'm also frequent on Nmt's forum (for the Netword Media Tank media players).
I also am a regular on various Greek technology forums. Some of them are videorelated.
I'm also spending much time on aegisub's forum lately.La Linea by Osvaldo Cavandoli

( liked it when it was cdfreaks better )
tradersden is a familiar place
honestly don't visit any other video related places other than here...doom9 is too technical for me to understand in most cases so i come here -
Anyway, Doom10 is as "dead" as it was in December of 2009
Dark Shikari thought it was a good idea to mimic the "one less" forum, but evidently he was wrong.
Meanwhile, at Doom9, while there is good stuff archived, I always feel like l'm walking on eggshells. -
Holy gravedigger, Batman!
Wasn't doom a video game?
Probably your first clue... -
Not a regular visitor to any of the sites listed.
I sometimes browse cinematography.com but it's not primarily a video forum.
Used to read newsgroups/usenet, but they suffered from a lack of moderation. -
Usenet was destroyed by Google.
They took over "deja news" which offerd a web search and posting interface.
Then they let any ******* use their Google accounts it to spam the hell out of every group.
They can filter spam very effectively as they do in GMail, but they deliberately chose not to with usenet.
All so they could drive people towards their own "Googlegroups".
Even five years ago there were several technical groups I would drop into with questions and get immediate, relevant answers. Now all the former regular posters have given up and there is nothing in them except spam. -
