I have a DV source with a resolution of 720x576. I'd like to resize that using Precise Billinear in VirtualDub to decrease the filesize. Eventually I'll join the AVIs then frameserve it to TMPGEnc.
If I go straight from the DV AVI, TMPGEnc seems to resize it while encoding, however, I need to resize it before encoding since I need the AVI files to be a bit smaller before encoding due to lack of hard drive space.
If I'm encoding to SVCD (480x576), what resolution should I resize to in VirtualDub?
