  1. Hi all,

I use AVCHD to rip & encode my bluray discs for my htpc and most of the time, it works perfectly fine.
However, I came accross the same problem for my last three br discs (lord of the rings trilogy). I can
rip m2ts files and convert them to mkv with makemkv, playing those mkv files works fine but whenever
I try to re-encode them with AVCHD, x264.exe.

I have downloaded the latest version of x264.exe but it doesn't help, still the same error. My mkv files
are made of a WVC1 video track and a Dolby AC3 track. Most of the movies I had encoded until now
were using a MPEG4 video track so the WVC1 track might be the problem.

Has any of you encountered the same problem? Any ideas of how I can solve this? I'm using Vista 64bits.

    Thanks

    AVCHD? Do you mean AVCHDCoder?

I would probably try use ripbot264 to convert directly from the blu-ray bdmv folder.
