  1. Is there any VFW codec or an easy way to play any MXF file coming from Panasonic P2 recording?
I know each MXF has just video content wrapped inside a MXF container, but would be very useful a quick view of each file without the need to call Premiere or any other NLE software.
I know there is something called 'P2viewer' but I found it not so useful.
Is there any subversion FFMPEG which could handle those files?
    Any suggestion?

    Thank you in advance.

P2 flash cards can contain DV, DVC-Pro25, DVC-Pro50 or DVC-ProHD video files.

VLC will play DVC-Pro but I'm not sure whether it works with an MXF wrapper.

Same goes for DVMP an $80 player (free demo).

A handy utility for conversion of P2 media is the $179 Firestore DV file converter for P2.
