  1. So frustrated. So, I am editing my video clips and they all snap together and snap to the beggining! I do not want them to do this, I want them to have spaces so I can move them around freely until I am ready to put them all together. I am sure there must be some kind of snapping option, but I do not know where and I hope someone can help me.

I don't use Video Studio, but on a standard, timeline based NLE this is referred to as Ripple Editing. I suggest you look through the help file for the term Ripple and see if you can turn this off.

This (truly awful) tutorial shows you how to turn ripple on and off in X2. The important part starts at around the 5 minute mark, but the rest is a scream to watch anyway.

I'll look more into the ripple editing thing, thank you.

EDIT: Well I tried enabling ripple editing, and the track still sanpped the beggining and would not move.

If ripple editing was the cause, it would have been because it was turned on.

Are you working in timeline mode or storyboard mode.

  6. In Videostudio the top(one reel icon) timeline will always snap files to the beginning, you can place content wherever you want on lower overlay timelines(two reels icon).
