How can I add a button inside VTS 2 Menu that links to a PGC inside Program Chains in VTS 4?

If Menu PGC has three cells and each has different audio, how can I disable audio in only one cell but leave others enabled. When I try this, the end result is all enabled or all disabled. Can menu audio be disabled in only one cell?

    I am using DvdRemake Pro.

Next I need to figure out how to insert the edited .ac3 file back into the .IFO file on DVD.

EDIT: Use MuxMan to combine edited audio with original video (which was previously extracted using PgcDemux) then use the resulting files to replace block inside DvdRemake.

You should use PGCDemux to demux audio, video, sub picture. After you edit audio, use MuxMan (free) to put it back together. You will get VOB files, than use "Replace Block" in Remake to import new edited menu.

    • Button to link to PGC in another Video Title Set

    1. Look under Video Manager > VMG Titles to see which VMG Title you wish to jump to.
    2. Right click on the Video Manager > Menus en > Add PGC
    3. Right click on Pre Commands TAB > Add Command... > Jump/Call Instructions > CHECK next to Exit >
    4. Jump VMG Title # from step 1 above.

    5. Have the new button jump to the newly added PGC from step 2 above using the Jump VMG PGC # command.

    I am using DvdRemake Pro.
    1. Extract audio files from cells you wish to disable
    2. Mute audio inside their audio files.
    3. Replace blocks of each cell with edited blocks using DvdRemake Pro.

    ===

    Details:

Input IFO should be the Video Title Set or VTS*.IFO file where the menu audio file you wish to edit is. DvdRemake Pro displays this information.

Inside DVdRemake, go to Menu PGC containing the cell whose audio you wish to edit
Look at the running time of the cell.
In PgcDemux, after selecting Input IFO & Output folder, select Single Cell and Menus, then find the cell with same running time.
CHECK everything except One file per VID > Process! > OK

Use Muxman to select the newly created Video and Audio (and Subpics), set Destination folder and Start.

Inside DVDRemake, go to the original block, right click > Replace block... > Load > browse to VIDEO_TS created by Muxman...

    DVDRemake warning will pop up.

[Play the block to see if anything is missing. You may need to export the buttons, then import them again.]

Not all software can edit/play these extracted .ac3 files but they can be edited/played using Nero WaveEditor, which is bundled with Nero Burning ROM. See Nero WaveEditor > Options > Audio Format Settings... > Set Decoders/Encoders TAB > Dolby Digital (AC3) > Configure... > if audio is 5.1, click on 5.1 > OK > Close
(Look into settings to prevent volume of edited .ac3 files from being reduced each time you save the edited .ac3 file.)

Sony software can open extracted .vob files which contain the ac3 sound to be edited. It can then be Saved As... *.ac3 file.

AC3 files can only be opened for editing again with Sony software if they are muxed together with video.
For standalone *.ac3 files, (any) video without sound is required:
    Open freeware MuxMan http://www.mpucoder.com/Muxman/versions.shtml
    1. Click on ... [to the right under Video] to browse to a video mpg file.
    2. Click on ... [to the right under Audio] to browse to the .ac3 file.
    3. Click on ... [to the right under Destination] to set destination directory.
    Start

The resulting VTS_01_1.vob file can now be opened in Sony software and ac3 audio file can then be edited and Saved As... The saved ac3 file cannot be opened in Sony software until it is muxed with video again.

To view the original bitrate of the ac3 file, use http://www.headbands.com/gspot/ freeware.
