ive been using autogk for a couple of weeks (to backup my dvd collection) and while it was working fine for that long, i recently noticed that it now produces results where the video and audio are out of sync by about a second.
i have not installed any new software or codecs in that machine and have no clue as to why all of a sudden the av is out of sync
any ideas?

Probably a bad decrypt on your part. If these are newer movies with newer copy protection, are you using DVDFab HD Decrypter and getting just the movie rather than the entire DVD? And if you already are, try running the VOBs through FixVTS afterwards before using AutoGK. Also, when posting AutoGK questions always post the log. Although in this case I don't think the log's going to help figure it out.

I get synch issues when doing TV episodes, before I start AutoGK I run the DVD rip through PGCDemux and check the audio delay. Then, while AutoGK is running the actual conversion in VDubMod, I go to the save folder and look at the Lastjob.vcf file (in Notepad).
Near the bottom, there's a line about audio interleave with numbers in brackets like (500,0,0). The first number is the audio delay and should match what PGCDemux told you (ignore a difference of 1). If it doesn't, abort the conversion (don't delete the files from your HDD), change the value in Lastjob.vcf (and save) and manually start VDubMod (there's no icon, look in the AutoGK folder and make your own shortcut), click File, Load Script and find Lastjob.vcf -
what i dont understand is that before; EVERY single backup i did was perfect with autogk and now EVERY single oen i do is out of sync.
its obviously an issue with my system or the autogk settings.
although i appreciate the advice given above, it is irrelevant since i did not need to do those things before and i was getting perfect backups.
is it possible that i installed some sort of software or codec that messed things up with autogk?check out my trip hop beats: http://www.youtube.com/user/octeuron -
It's possible, I made the mistake of installing reclock once. That seriously messed up my system. Try un-installing it, then run crap cleaner and get ride of anything related to Virtualdub, Avisynth, DGindex...

i uninstalled autoGK, avisynth, vobsub (i did not see the option to uninstall virtualdub or dgindex in control panel list)
then i ran ccleaner
rebooted, installed autogk again....
converted the documentary again however the same out-of-sync issue remains
im ready to give up on autogk forever...
is there something else that can convert my vob file that i decrypted into avi? (the decrypted vob file is in perfect sync btw)
or something that can turn the vob into an iso so that i can use fairuse wizard to convert? (i cannot rip the disk as iso since it is partly scratched however when i decrypted in file mode with "main movie only" it worked)check out my trip hop beats: http://www.youtube.com/user/octeuron
