Hi all,
I have a 12 AVIs I want to code to DVD using either TMPGenc Plus 2.5 or ConvertXtoDVD.
All of the AVIs play fine (sound & video), but 3 of them get converted to m2v & avi with video but NO sound and I can't work out why!
I have checked on here for people who have had the same problem, but I can't work out how to do it with sound!
Any ideas?
Also, as an alternative, I tried running the same AVIs through ConvertXtoDVD, and when I add each avi, it comes up as a titleset for each avi, hit 'convert' and it seems to play in PowerDVD with NO chapters and only the first AVI playable. The sound & video are fine on these! How do I make each avi a new chapter?
Thanks
Ian

In convertxtodvd add the first avi. Right-click on this title and you should have an option to add more to the titleset. Add you other files.

Tried that and have no idea what it's doing ...
I tried 6 to test it ...
It came up with:
6 files
3 chapters (00:00:00 > 04:17:346 > 07:15:432)
Source files (7 files)
File #1 (Play first) - Video & Audio
File #2 (Play first) - No Video, Audio listed
etc etc.
What is it trying to do?
What will happen if I do it the original way & just have 6 Titlesets (1 for each of the avis) when I play it on a standalone DVD player? -
If you just add 6 videos as separate titles go into the settings and make sure they play one after the other, and don't just stop or return to the menu. You won't be able to skip titles with the Next button though.
You could also try DVD Flick. Again, add the first title, then right click and add the rest to the same titleset.Read my blog here.

Thanks, guns1inger, I'll give DVD Flick a go ....
Is there no way to get a new chapter on each of 12 avis using convertxtodvd or dvd flick? ie. 12 chapters?
Do you know why tmpgenc won't "do" the audio on 3 of the avis, but the other 9 are fine?
Cheers

Ahhh ... All the files are on there, but it is just one long chapter ... do I need to go in & add manual chapters at specific times?

Meanwhile you might try recoding the audio using virtualdub and see if that fixes your problem.
