I'm beginning to regret getting a new computer instead of trying to get my old one fixed. It's been nothing but problems problems problems when it comes to trying to rip movies.

I installed AutoGK from the website, and now I can't find the option to force mono MP3 encoding.

I'm about ready to just give up on ripping movies entirely. :\

    Computer is Windows 7 64-bit.

ETA: Figured out the problem...quite by accident too. The last version of AutoGK requires you to hit F11 to get audio properties.

  2. Sorry to resurrect an old thread. but I have the latest version of AUTOGK and can't find an option for MONO audio anywhere. Any idea if this feature is still avaliable.

I recently installed AutoGK and I got so pissed at trying to use it that I just gave up and used Xvid4PSP instead, which I like a lot more anyway now. I bitched here about AutoGK and I found out that some of the config options require you to hit secret key sequences like F11 or you will never see them. I leave it to you to decide if you want to fool with using a program that requires you to hit secret keys to fully configure it.

  4. Yeah I read the F11 thing. But that isn't doing anything. When am I supposed to be pressing F11?

The bastards seem to have changed it. Another website suggests it's now Ctrl-F9. This is EXACTLY the bs that made me say "Screw you, AutoGK!" and start using Xvid4PSP in the first place.

  7. Yes I can confirm that hitting crt and F11 does bring up the secret audio menu.

Wish they would make it a bit easier to use. God knows what other useful features I don't know about because they are hidden away.

AutoGK was one of my favourite programs but it hasn't been supported for years. The author decided to walk away from it after spending years supporting this free program with not much thanks from what I have gleaned - times have moved on and there are better encoders and formats around especially with very cheap storage space and better quality rip etc.
