  1. Your going to love this! all you have to do is:

    1. get the LSX mpeg2 player directshow filters called: mpeg2decode.ax and mpeg2parser.ax You do not have to install the LSX mpeg2 player, just have these files.

    2. get the ac3 directshow audio filter from the winDVD player called ivivideo.ax

    3. Register these files using Regsvr32.exe through the RUN: box on the start menu (C:\xxx\filename.ax)

    4. Unregister any Xing mpeg2decoder video and ac3audio filters with:
    VIDEO FILTERS:
    regsvr32 /u C:\Program Files\Common Files\Xing Shared\MPEG Decode\XmdVidSubDcode.dll

    AUDIO FILTERS
    regsvr32 /u C:\Program Files\Common Files\Xing Shared\MPEG Decode\audsubdecode.dll

*****this is probably not the right names of the filters...Please check the name in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Xing Shared\MPEG Decode before doing the command on these.

Now you can put your VOB file in many encoders (including TMPGEnc) and convert these files into DVD quality video files). MAKES PERFECT SVCDS OR VCDS.

    8) Dont you just love it? Saves you hours of converting into .avi files before converting into VCD through flaskMPEG

    Interesting
    But what are the benefits?
Why not use a frameserver? DVD2AVI is the best for this job IMO....

  3. I just enjoy being able to load my files directly into an mpg converter and not have to convert it into avi first

What SatStorm is trying to show you is here. http://www.vcdhelp.com/DVDConversionGuide/index.php?id=dvdtovcd2c.html#DVD2AVI

For more info look under the DVD rip section. You already do NOT have to turn your vob's to avi's. You can easily take advantage of Frameserving to TMPG in DVD2AVI
