i got coreavc, because my phenom x4 9950 couldn't decode 1080p streams (here for example in avc1) without video stuttering.
i got 2 x gtx260 (oc) in sli and selected cuda use in the coreavc settings. since then the video runs fine without any stuttering in media player.
now my question:
what should i select in the deinterlacing options: none (weave) - single field - bob - hardware
i've got a sony HD TV connected with a HDMI cable. this sony screen supports resolutions up to 1920x1080 and refresh rates of 50 and 60 Hz.
1920x1080 is only supported in interlaced mode with 60 Hz (1080i), all others resolutions like 1280x720 are supported in progressive (720p).
i think there is no need at all to deinterlace anything, because is can play 720p movies as they are, when playing 1080i movies, the coreavc decoder should'nt do anything, so should i select none (just wondering why there is weave in brackets) or better select hardware if i don't want any deinterlacing ?
when playing a 1080p movie, i guess anything apart from bob or single field should be ok, because my sony screen that runs in interlaced mode then, just displays every single field like in progressive mode, only every second line, or would i get an interlaced image then ? i guess not, because this is just what interlacing is about, displaying completely different fields every second lines with 60 Hz.
i'm working as a video editor and studied all this deinterlacing stuff with diploma, i just don't know what to select in coreavc options for my situation here.

to sum it up:
i don't really understand how these options will work out with my setup, and what i should select then
1. i guess "none" shows both fields and tells my sony tv it's a progressive picture, so it would be displayed as an interlaced picture on progressive displays, right ? what happens then on my 1080i interlaced tv ?
2a. "hardware" shows both fields and tells my tv that it's interlaced, so my sony tv will display 1080i correctly ?
2b. and what would be displayed when i play a 1080p movie on my sony tv in 1080i mode with "hardware" option?

If your HDTV is connected to your graphics card at 1080i you don't need to deinterlace.

I use CoreAvc (i got a GT220) so i know the answer:
input formats: all
output formats: YV12 only (very important here)
deinterlacing: hardware
prefer cuda acceleration : yes
agressive deinterlacing yes (but optional)
Fore VMR correction: yes (depending what kind of renderer you use ( i use the overlay so it's disabled for me)*** DIGITIZING VHS / ANALOG VIDEOS SINCE 2001**** GEAR: JVC HR-S7700MS, TOSHIBA V733EF AND MORE
