  1. This is the oddest problem and to say it's frustrating me would be an understatement. My Sony Vegas can no longer edit .Mov files captured by my Zi8 flipcam. It used to just fine. In fact, this exact copy of can open those same files just fine on my other computer which is identical to this one.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Vegas, but that's didn't help. I also tried restoring Windows to an earlier date, but that didn't help either!

    Any ideas at all?

The problem will be one of the recent iTunes/Quicktime updates you have installed, not Vegas. It broke mov editing in a few places. Uninstall iTunes/Quaicktime, then try to find an older version.

As for imtoo - it re-encodes, so either you will get much bigger files, or you will get quality loss. You can't have both.
