By default, if you burn an ISO in ImgBurn, it will not ask for layer break info... it will use the info that is supposed to be in the ISO.
I was wondering myself what Hech54 was saying but I "let it go".

    Who mentioned an ISO?

So you use Write mode with a VIDEO_TS folder?

    Is that possible?

Rather than tell people what you DON'T do, how about telling us what you DO do.... that would be much more helpful.

Of course. I even use the "EZ Mode Picker" - Write Files/Folder To A Disc.
ImgBurn reads and instantly knows how this "folder" needs to be burned(as DVD VIDEO) and pops up
a screen to show you the possible layer break positions(if you are burning a DL disc).
You have to understand....ImgBurn does NOT create a layer break position, it lists the choices and rates them.
If you create a giant DL DVD with no chapter markers between scenes, you have just limited ImgBurn's choices
for a smooth layer break dramatically. Now ImgBurn has only the division between the VOB files...not good.
    Not impossible, but not good.
When you rip a large "movie only" that still requires a DL disc....unless you changed some serious setting in the ripper, you still have the chapter markers intact. Messing with the ripper settings is unnecessary. Obsession with creating ISO images "so you can use ImgBurn" is unnecessary. ImgBurn EASILY handles VIDEO_TS folders as well. You have received tons and tons of "extra work" and "bad advise" in this thread....none of which came from me....

Did you know ImgBurn can also create Audio CDs from your WAV files AND MP3 files?
I'm telling you....ImgBurn is MUCH MUCH MUCH smarter than you think it is.

    Check it out:

Use the "EZ Mode Picker" and select "Write Files/Folder To A Disc".

Then, click on the "Mode" menu item. Notice that "Build" has the check by it.

    -

Write mode REQUIRES an ISO file.

Build mode uses a VIDEO_TS folder (with the VOB files in it).

    -

So, when you said, "I never use Build mode"... that meant you use Write mode and thus ISO files.

But, as you have pointed out, you actually are using Build mode.

And, I agree now that I've tried it ImgBurn IS the best tool for burning.
