Ok, so I'm not asking which is best, I'm asking which you think will provide the overall best picture quality when converting from DVD to XviD. I'm currently using leakkerneldeinterlace, but I'm not too happy with the quality. Thanks in advance!

    TempGaussMC

    Fast Setting:
    TempGaussMC_beta2(tr0=1,tr1=1,tr2=0,rep0=0,rep1=0, rep2=0,sharpness=0,Smode=0,SLmode=0,Sbb=0,SVthin=0 .0,EdiMode="blah",pelsearch=1)

    Slow Setting:
    TempGaussMC_beta2(tr2=3,sharpness=1.5,Sbb=2,SLrad= 2,Sovs=2,EdiMode="NNEDI2")

If you want single-rate deinterlacing, put "selecteven()" afterwards

  3. TempGaussMC is really slow though. ~1/50 the speed of most other deinterlacers. Some samples:

  4. Got any samples of DVDs that you think need deinterlacing? Are these really shot on video? A step up from LeakKernelDeint is Yadif, and probably even faster. But as stated, if time's no object TempGaussMC and its variants are the best.

TomsMoComp is the best I've ever used and I've tried all of them: Area-based, Fieldeinterlace, Kerneldeinterlace, etc.

It's not the best and you haven't used all of them. TomsMoComp is old and obsolete.
