Hi
I sometimes download 'Listen again' radio shows from BBC websites.
I don't mean the ones that are available through iPlayer, I mean older shows.
I can download them very quickly using mPlayer from the command line with Linux.
But I'd like to help some friends to do download them, they use Windows.
I've tried Orbit downloader with Windows. This will download the rtsp streams but very very slowly.
This is an example of the stream:-
It's a 1-hour show, a 4.7MB file.Code:rtsp://rmv8.bbc.net.uk/radio4/hometruths/hometruths_20060603.ra
When I download it with mPlayer and Linux it takes about 2 minutes to download.
When I download it with Orbit and Windows it takes forever.
Can anybody recommend a download manager for Windows that will download rtsp streams quickly?
Also it needs to be simple for them to operate, and freeware/shareware.
