    Short answer : No.

Long answer : maybe, if your source is high enough quality and very short. 700MB will give you around 5 minutes of footage at full 1080p, or maybe 12 minutes at AVC HD 720p, if you use 384 kbps AC3 for the audio.

If your souce is standard definition, don't waste your time upscaling it unless you are incorporating it with real HD footage. You are just wasting your time.

    What is your source ?

What is your source video ? is id HD or SD ? Does it come straight from a camera, or is it something you have created ? Or is it something you have downloaded ?

Simplest way to answer these questions is to post a Tree View output from mediainfo of one of these files.

Assuming the majority of your files are like this sample, converting them to HD is a waste of time, will not look good, and will require each file expand to at least 4.36GB each. Leave them as they are, and let your player do the upscaling. Any movie compressed down to low resolution and 700MB has already had the life crushed out of it. This data is gone for good, and cannot be retrieved or recreated.

It varies depending on the source, but you have a lot of issue to deal with. It is a big upscale, you have compression and mosquito artefacts to deal with. Some source will look OK, some won't. There is no absolute answer.

Anything that has a resolution less than 1280 x 720 should be questions. Less than 960 x 540 (which Apple considers HD, for some bizarre, sub-standard reason) is a not worth the effort. Any movie squeezed into 700mb - 1.4gb is not worth the effort.

Basically, if you want to do HD, start with HD.
