    Hi,

Last year I ripped all my DVD's to ISO to store on an external drive. I now want to be able to use this drive to stream the movies around the house. Unfortunately the software I am using doesn't play the ISO's. (Also, I didn't always rip just the main movie.)

So I now am going through the process of demuxing the video and audio and then multiplexing back into MPG format and replacing the ISOs with the MPGs. I use VobEdit to demux and TMPGEnc to multiplex. This works ok but is going to take a while as I have over 500 DVDs

Does anyone know of some software that that will do this all in one, also with a batch facility if possible?

    Cheers.

    vob2mpg.

Or maybe try find another streaming software? What do you use now? Maybe there is an iso-plugin for your software.

    Thanks for the reply.

I have a couple of wireless media adapters (phillips streamium slm5500) which work quite nice. The only problem is that the formats are a bit limited. (WMV, AVI and MPG). I did try just changing the file extension from ISO to MPG, although the ISO will start to play, it usually just hangs after a few seconds.

vob2mpg is ok but it doesn't work with the stored ISO's unless I mount them on a virtual drive. But if I do that I can't batch encode.

So a bit stuck really. Guess I just have to do them one by one!

    Cheers.
